LESSON SUMMARY

Celebrate! So now it’s time to start you Amazon launch campaign. How exciting! Or are you finding it just a bit daunting?

Many new authors feel confused and overwhelmed over the idea of launching their book online. It all seems so big and so unknowable. Not only are the so many things to understand about the industry, there are so many technologies involved in the process as well. When we are faced with something we feel is so big and unknowable, it is easy to become overwhelmed and fearful that we won’t be able to figure it out, and that we will end up fumbling around in the dark, trying to do it all by ourselves, making many mistakes as a result.

But here’s the good news:

  • First of all, there is a system to doing an online book launch, and I’m going to be teaching it to you over the next 8 weeks.
  • Secondly, you are NOT going to have to do it alone. In fact, if you try to do it all on your own, it’s not going to work! The success of your Amazon book campaign will be dependent upon you having a great team of Joint Venture Partners (JVPs) who are dedicated to making the campaign WORK. I also suggest you hire a Virtual Assistant (VA), who will be able to carry out many of the technical and communications tasks required. All these people will become a reliable source of support before, during and after your campaign—people who want to see you succeed.

And don’t forget: throughout the process, I am here too, and so is the Spirit Authors Community. It’s time now for you to start to learn how to ask for help when you need it, and accept it when it’s offered.

OBJECTIVES FOR THE WEEK:

By the end of this week’s lesson you will:

  1. Know the meaning and value of having Joint Venture Partners (JVPs)
  2. Determine the criteria for choosing excellent JVPs and VA for you campaign.
  3. Learn strategies for locating your ideal JVPs
  4. Research potential partners and create a shortlist for your campaign
  5. Create a first communication template to invite your JVPs to join your campaign.

If you’ve taken other Spirit Authors modules, you’ll know that there are often about 5 or 6 challenges for week. This week, there are only 3 challenges, because they involve a lot of research and work outside the lesson. If you complete all these challenges this week, you will actually have gone a long way to getting your campaign off the ground!

So, are you ready? Then take a DEEP breath, ‘coz here we go!
