<p><img class="alignleft" style="border: 0pt none;" title="Celebrate!" src="http://spiritauthors.com/images/123rf/3940897_blog.jpg" alt="Celebrate!" width="170" height="150" />Last week, we looked at the components and structure of an Amazon campaign, how to organise and track your JVPs, and how to design your pre-launch page.</p>
<p>Well, I’m pretty sure that this might have been a steep learning curve for you. I’m also pretty sure that one week might not have been enough time to achieve all those tasks, if this is your first experience with such things. If that’s the case, don’t worry. These things are complex, and as you are project leading a large group of people, it is likely everything you plan will take a bit longer than you had expected. A good rule of thumb is to work the best you can to meet your deadlines, but build in a “buffer” in your timeline so you can still meet your launch date, even if a few of the bits and pieces take longer than you had intended.</p>
<p>With that in mind, I will be assuming that you are continuing to work on the elements from Week 2 while we continue on to Week 3. Remember I said you would become good at multitasking?</p>
<p>Now it’s time for you to get down to the business of creating the written materials you will give your JVPs. Amongst other things, they will need good promotional copy for their newsletters, and they will also need clear, precise instructions so they know clearly what they are expected to do on your campaign.</p>
<h5><strong>OBJECTIVES FOR THE WEEK:</strong></h5>
<p>As this requires a LOT of writing on your part, it will take some time to complete these tasks. For that reason, we have only 2 objectives for the week, because you will probably need a whole week to get these done, while you are still maintaining your tracking and progressing with your web page development from last week.</p>

<li>To create your instructional document for your JVPs</li>

We talked about how to find a JVP, where to look for them, how to approach them, how to target your audience by finding the right kinds of JVPs.</p>
<p>I also gave you templates for letters you could use to send to your JVPs. Of course these were very generic, but these gave you an idea of the kinds of things you would need to say when you first approach a JVP. Mind you, when I actually give JVPs the information for the campaign, I give them a much more detailed version of what I gave you, but that was something to get you started, so you could see how you would approach your JVPs when you are organising your Amazon book launch.</p>
<p>Now, in Week 2, we’ll be looking at how to put it all together. We will be answering questions like:</p>

<li>What are the components that go into an Amazon campaign?</li>

<p>Many new authors feel confused and overwhelmed over the idea of launching their book online. It all seems so big and so unknowable. Not only are the so many things to understand about the industry, there are so many technologies involved in the process as well. When we are faced with something we feel is so big and unknowable, it is easy to become overwhelmed and fearful that we won’t be able to figure it out, and that we will end up fumbling around in the dark, trying to do it all by ourselves, making many mistakes as a result.</p>
<p><strong>But here’s the good news:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>First of all,</strong> there is a system to doing an online book launch, and I’m going to be teaching it to you over the next 8 weeks.</li>
<li><strong>Secondly, </strong>you are NOT going to have to do it alone. In fact, if you try to do it all on your own, it’s not going to work! The success of your Amazon book campaign will be dependent upon you having a great team of Joint Venture Partners (JVPs) who are dedicated to making the campaign WORK. I also suggest you hire a Virtual Assistant (VA), who will be able to carry out many of the technical and communications tasks required. All these people will become a reliable source of support before, during and after your campaign—people who want to see you succeed.</li>
</ul>
<p><em>And don’t forget:</em> throughout the process, I am here too, and so is the Spirit Authors Community. It’s time now for you to start to learn how to ask for help when you need it, and accept it when it’s offered.</p>
<h5><strong>OBJECTIVES FOR THE WEEK:</strong></h5>
<p>By the end of this week’s lesson you will:</p>
<ol>
<li>Know the meaning and value of having Joint Venture Partners (JVPs)</li>
<li>Determine the criteria for choosing excellent JVPs and VA for you campaign. </li>
<li>Learn strategies for locating your ideal JVPs</li>
<li>Research potential partners and create a shortlist for your campaign</li>
<li>Create a first communication template to invite your JVPs to join your campaign.</li>
</ol>
<p>If you’ve taken other Spirit Authors modules, you’ll know that there are often about 5 or 6 challenges for week. This week, there are only 3 challenges, because they involve a lot of research and work outside the lesson. If you complete all these challenges this week, you will actually have gone a long way to getting your campaign off the ground!</p>

When we are faced with something we feel is so big and unknowable, it is easy to become overwhelmed and fearful that we won’t be able to figure it out, and that we will end up fumbling around in the dark, trying to do it all by ourselves, making many mistakes as a result.
But here’s the good news:

First of all, there is a system to doing an online book launch, and I’m going to be teaching it to you over the next 8 weeks.
Secondly, you are NOT going to have to do it alone. In fact, if you try to do it all on your own, it’s not going to work! The success of your Amazon book campaign will be dependent upon you having a great team of Joint Venture Partners (JVPs) who are dedicated to making the campaign WORK. I also suggest you hire a Virtual Assistant (VA), who will be able to carry out many of the technical and communications tasks required. All these people will become a reliable source of support before, during and after your campaign—people who want to see you succeed.

And don’t forget: throughout the process, I am here too, and so is the Spirit Authors Community. It’s time now for you to start to learn how to ask for help when you need it, and accept it when it’s offered.
OBJECTIVES FOR THE WEEK:
By the end of this week’s lesson you will:

Know the meaning and value of having Joint Venture Partners (JVPs)
Determine the criteria for choosing excellent JVPs and VA for you campaign. 
Learn strategies for locating your ideal JVPs
Research potential partners and create a shortlist for your campaign
Create a first communication template to invite your JVPs to join your campaign.

If you’ve taken other Spirit Authors modules, you’ll know that there are often about 5 or 6 challenges for week. This week, there are only 3 challenges, because they involve a lot of research and work outside the lesson. If you complete all these challenges this week, you will actually have gone a long way to getting your campaign off the ground!

<p>And that is what this module is about. The aim of this module is to give you all the tools and know-how to construct, plan and deliver a successful Amazon book launch.</p>
